Sufardi who has been with us since 1997 was appointed as Director and Chief Executive Officer on 15 March 2004. He obtained his law degree at the University of Malaya in 1977 and subsequently was awarded a Diploma in International Air Law at the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands. He was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1986. His career includes serving the Attorney-General Chambers for a period of 6 years as Federal Counsel, which involved being attached to various Government departments. During this period, he also became Legal Advisor to the Ministry of Transport and often represented the government at international conventions. After leaving government service, Sufardi joined Perbadanan Nasional Shipping Line Bhd (PNSL) when it was incorporated in 1982. While serving PNSL for 14 years as General Manager with personal responsibility for the legal, insurance and administration departments, Sufardi was heavily exposed to insurance matters.
