Dato’ Dahlan is a qualified shipbroker and obtained his training and experience in marine hull insurance and P&I whilst working at a leading P&I Club, Lloyd’s Insurance Brokers and Shipowners offices in London. He was the insurance manager of Malaysia International Shipping Corporation Berhad during the early pioneering years before forming MMS (Insurance Brokers) Sdn. Bhd. in 1983. Dato’ Dahlan has been involved in the marine and insurance industries for over 45 years and personally heads up the Marine Broking Department which has been involved in practically all major Malaysian fleets.
