Samantha obtained an undergraduate degree in Politics with Economics from London University in 1994 and a postgraduate degree in Information Management & Finance at Westminster University, London in 1997. During Samantha's eight years in London, two years were spent attached to one of London's largest independent Lloyd’s broking firms, where she sat and passed her Lloyd’s Introductory Examinations - thereby qualifying her to transact business at Lloyd’s of London.
Samantha was also on attachment to Lloyd's of London, where she worked at several syndicates and was exposed to the vast array of insurance policies available, ranging from marine, oil & gas, bloodstock and fine arts to name a few. Her stint in London also included a job placement at the Shipowners’ Protection & Indemnity Association and the Institute of London Underwriters.
Samantha was elected to the Board in 2004 and is attached to our Energy, Oil and Gas and Construction department. She was involved in successfully servicing Malaysia’s largest onshore claim amounting to RM 1 billion.
